Side story: Tribute to a legend

Finn and Leah are inside a ship that departs from Japan, on their way to China to answer Lu Bu's challenge.

But, as Leah watches the news in her phone, she suddenly looks away and starts crying.

"Leah? What's wrong?" Finn asks, sensing her intense emotions.

"He is gone. One of the greatest creators in the history of manga is gone. He set the ground for many of the parallel worlds I want to visit to thrive, made wonderful designs, gripping stories, and inspired other creators. I wish I could have met him sooner."

Finn, without reading her mind or asking her more, immediately pulls her into a hug.

"That man is a hero, a legend who has changed the world for the better through his art. He deserves a long time of silence in his honor."

And the Stormwolf duo mourn the fallen legend together.

In the parallel world where Lightning is training, he sees his mentor being curled into a fetal position.

"What's wrong, master?" Lightning asks.

"The creator. The creator is gone. The maker of our worlds has fallen, and the Dragon Balls cannot bring him back!"

Lightning's mouth opens in shock. "Please tell me it's Zeno."

"No. I mean our true maker. The reason I exist in the first place. Granted, he could have handled my fate better, but deep down I know that's not remotely his fault. I would never blame him even if he was still alive. Instead, I want to thank him for not just giving birth to all of us Z-Fighters, but finding a way to keep bringing us back. In a way, he has given us as many chances as we want to grow better."

Even without the events of Valkyria, Lightning's opinion would have not changed. "Yamcha, this loss means a lot to me too. Your creator has been a great inspiration for mine, and I have nothing but respect for your world and your maker."

"Is there any way I can bring him back to life?"

"He is alive. In everyone's hearts."
