pan2000Harrymort is a shitty Stu. Thank God he is just fictional. He is supposed to be the hero, yet I can in no way compare him to actual heroes. But I can compare him to the villains of my series. And they do have some similarities.
Same: Both have destroyed the world and remade it in their own image.
Yes. Harrymort's minion, Queen Malice, fired nukes all over the world and killed all the Muslims, and instigated World War 3 to make sure the economy of the world is crumbling. Then the world started becoming like Wonderland, only with women being nothing more than slaves. The Dark One did try nukes before the conquest. It failed, but a later attempt succeeded, and they turned the world into a factory farm.
Different: Their views on pedophilia
It's ironic when the side that's supposed to be the bad guys doesn't have anyone, not even the Cubi who need sex to live, who condones child rape. Harrymort is supposed to be the hero, yet he brainwashes eleven-year-olds to be his mindless sex objects and one of his minions sentenced the son of one of her victims to be forcibly impregnated for years. Lilith and Ganon had anyone who raped a kid, even an enemy, sentenced to death.
Same: Lust for power
Both of these forces want to gather as much of an army as possible, and also power-ups. They also can't stand any competition and they will do their best to get rid of them, or even use their foes to act like saviors.
Different: Their actual competence
Harrymort might act like he is strong, and be handed a lot of strength indeed, but he is actually not so competent. He will run away from anything that can fight back, in fact he makes sure to only fight weaker foes than himself. Meanwhile, the Black Legion takes on heroes who can actually put up a fight. Regularly.
Same: Their view on humanity
Neither side makes any attempt to hide their utter contempt for humanity. The reasons they want to end the world is that humanity is corrupt and full of criminals. Of course, both sides have no issue using criminals themselves, but still, humanity is evil and needs to burn.
Different: The monsters they use
The Dark One uses a very wide variety of monsters. From Goblins and relative species, skeletons and lots of vampires and zombies, to demons, golems and a few robots, he has a diverse army that everyone fears. Harrymort doesn't have such a diverse army, because he is not a general but a pervert with ambitions. He has only fairies, wooden soldiers and Dryads, lots of Dryads. The reason he has Dryads is that he wants them as breeding machines. He also hates vampires, goblins and other such creatures.
Same: Both armies are personal cults
The Dryad Brigade is made to satisfy Harrymort's perversions. They are all brainwashed to be his harem and agree with him at everything. They worship him as their master, savior and true love. The Black Legion has religious aspects, they literally see the Dark One as their only god and savior. And nobody questions him.
Different: Reasons for brainwashing
While both sides brainwash people, Harrymort does so to get hundreds of sex slaves to worship him. The Dark One, on the other hand, can make someone his sex slave but doesn't. He prefers to use imprints instead to his enemies to crush them through unhealthy obsessions and rule them through their hate and malice.

Harrymort and the Dark One do have one last similarity. They will give you everything you desire... at a price. You want beauty, power, immortality, riches, revenge, authority? These guys will help you with a smile! Except you now have to give up your free will and eternally serve these criminals. In Harrymort's case, you will murder and be a sex slave. In the Dark One's, you will merely murder.

In Black Legion, the stronger you are, the higher your rank is. You also have to merely agree with the Dark One and want to punish humanity for its crimes. In Harrymort's forces, it also matters if you are white, if you are a woman, and basically every prejudice possible. Plus, Harrymort wants sex slaves first and fighters later. The Dark One wants fighters first and sex slaves never.
