pan2000Jonnie was a foe with physical strength, reputation, feats and followers. A true Rookie Killer, who had multiple triumphs against weak foes, but was in trouble against anyone who could fight.
(Btw, Chapter 5 has the final battle with him and his forces, so read that first!)
Which villains were tougher than him?
Tougher: Armilla
To be fair, one of them was a Vampire Lord and the other was Jonnie. Except Jonnie was worshipped as a god in many religions. Jonnie might be physically much stronger than the average human, but against vampires he would fall short. Armilla can teleport, summon lesser demons and beat Finn in a fight (then again, he grew stronger later). Jonnie lost to Finn without the latter attacking at all.
Easier: Takara
Takara is also physically stronger than a human and very cruel. If she won, she would have changed history to her favor. However, there are some ways she falls short compared to Godboy. While she has some Revisionists, nobody is extremely loyal to her as a person. Jonnie has his fairly strong Scots. Also, Takara is ineffective, while Jonnie has blown up planets. Finally, Takara is a murdering abuser who throws fits if anything doesn't go her way. Jonnie likes his men, but premediates genocides.
Tougher: Lightning Dawn
Ok, he is not really a villain, he is like Imprinted Rey. However, both him and Jonnie will use questionable means to save their planets, and both have been complicit to genocide. (In Lightning's case, he was following Grand Ruler's orders) They also have some followers who can hold their own in a fight. Why is Lightning tougher? Because, Godboy or not, Jonnie has limits. And the Uniforce can probably oneshot him. Also, because Lightning actually had to fight half-competent monsters in the past.
Easier: Jack the Ripper
Jack is a dangerous serial killer. As a zombie, he became even more of a threat and was actually a bit tougher than Jonnie in one on one. But... Jonnie has an army with him. And he has disabled a superweapon with skull fractures and one bullet, thus he could withstand the barrage of knives Jack can throw. Finally, Jonnie is more effective, planet killer and all.
Tougher: Mori Ranmaru
Ranmaru was also a cult leader, just like Jonnie. The Children of Oda Nobunaga were just as tough as the Scots. Also, Jonnie is more evil. So why is Ranmaru tougher? Simple. Because, while not as evil, the man is smart and ruthless. And he matches Jonnie in competence in most parts... except physical/magical strength. Jonnie killed civilians: Ranmaru heroes.
Easier: Nessie
Her only powers are telepathy and enormous influence. But Jonnie is worshipped as a god... literally. So, he suprasses her in influence. And while she has vampires and werewolves who do whatever she wants, Jonnie has trained warriors in his command, plus is no slouch himself.
Tougher: Benjamin
Like Jonnie, he believes he is a god among gods and is delusional. He also rules only a country and didn't expand too much. However, he was also one of the strongest vampires who ever lived, with abilities far above those of any human. Ben is a Hero Killer, too, and his wife can also fight for a short while, plus he has vampiric guards. Jonnie has a big army himself but nobody among them has supernatural powers.
Easier: Franco
Franco is one of the easiest foes in the story. He might be a threat to common people, being a slave trader, but compared to the galactic threat that is Jonnie through his technology, he is nothing.
Tougher: Zant
To be honest, few villains top this guy (and those who do aren't shown much yet). Lord Zant surpasses the hero killers. Because he manages to beat the entire Stormwolf and destroy their base. One of the reasons Jonnie is a threat at all is that Zant already destroyed most of the army allied to the protagonists and crushed their morale. And while Jonnie is a strong man, he would lose very fast against this reality warper, and his Scots would be crushed by the diverse army of monsters who outclass them at everything. Honestly, just see Chapters 3 and 5, these will tell you who is stronger.
Easier: Silver Moblin
This is a close one. Because both the Silver Moblin and Jonnie are rookie killers. They are actually equal in a fight, maybe the Moblin would have the edge. However, while both are normal fish, Jonnie is in a tiny pond and the Moblin of "Path of a Rebel" in a huge one. Jonnie got to be more effective this way, having blown up planets and getting treated as a god, and he has also a vast army. Jonnie is what would happen if you threw a Silver Moblin in a universe where everyone but him is completely incompetent, and thus became an absolute power in theory.
