pan2000Poe is the Resistance leader, following Leia's path and making her Force Ghost proud. Also a master pilot and a good shot. He would crush many enemies with his ship and gimmicks. However, some are too tough. This will be composite Poe from the timelines, so both jetpack and bombs for him! Who is a good match for Poe and who is too easy or tough?
Good: Grand Admiral Thrawn
One of the best matchups against Dameron. He is basically an even smarter than Poe leader of an elite fleet. However, Poe can hold his own, maybe even outsmart him for some moments. Even if Thrawn wins, he will love the challenge of Poe.
Bad: Armitage Hux
Hux is a General, and is also quite the cunning individual. However, in spite of his ruthlessness, he is nowhere near as competent as Poe Dameron, who can make a fool out of him in various ways.
Good: Victor Checkmate
The master of chess, he could take the souls of everyone he defeated. Even Q was defeated, though he put up a good fight and was actually useful. Poe had to play chess himself and apply to psychology and out of the box tactics, including using the match with Q, but defeated Victor. The two respect each other.
Bad: Ganondorf Dragmire
Poe did destroy a base that could blow up five planets at once, but had help and it was a big ship. Now he has to face a planet-busting person. The two might be good commanders, but the power level is very different. Poe can deal with many things, but not the top demigod.
Good: Renesmee
Yes. You heard that right. Like Poe, her power does not rely in punches and kicks, even though she is above normal people. It relies on money and influence, while Poe's in technology and brains. It will be a conflict where not a single punch has to be thrown and different things clash with each other.
Bad: The Cyberdemon
This thing would not make sense to oppose Poe. He is not the sharpest knife in the butter. However, he is also too strong for Dameron even on his ship. He has a rocket launcher for left arm and can blow up even an X-Wing while tanking even proton torpedoes. Overall, it would not be interesting.
Good: General Pryde
One of Palpatine's best Generals, Poe led his fleet against the Final Order's, with Pryde leading the Order. The battle was won thanks to Lando bringing a lot of reinforcements and Finn using the Force for the first time and killing Pryde. The General was very well-prepared and he and Finn constantly reacted to each other's moves. However, Poe can play the game of strategy too, even better than his best friend.
Bad: Takara
Takara would be a horrible matchup for Poe for the opposite reasons of Ganondorf: she is nowhere near his level. The only way she can win is if it's a fistfight and Poe acts on impulse. He can bomb her and she will blame her weapons, he is also far, far smarter than her. Poe would see her as just a nuisance at most.
Good: Armilla
Armilla and Poe have something in common. They are actually more brains than brawn. And their talents lie to leading and making mind games. However, Poe's ship and Armilla's Vampire Lady status makes them able to pack a punch too. Finally, Poe would be very willing to fight her after learning what she did to Finn.
Bad: Eli Vanto
Eli is a friend of Thrawn. Though neither are villains, only the Chiss is ruthless. Poe and Eli would have no reason to antagonize each other, except the latter serving Thrawn. And Poe would prefer to go straight for the Grand Admiral.
