Sometimes, having a moral code can sacrifice pragmatism. Even though I did slowly but surely make Finn more powerful, here are some abilities he won't ever have.
5. Force Heal. Even though it does speak to his personality, it reminds him of a certain toxic bond.
4. Force Projection. That's purely because he is not powerful enough for that.
3. Mind Trick. He is strongly against mind control due to his past with the First Order and won't learn something that suppress someone's free will.
2. Force Lightning. An ability that requires hate and anger, and above all else Dark Side. If he ever tried it, he would at most recharge a battery.
1. Force Drain. It's the opposite of Force Heal, takes life force from others to heal somebody. It's self-explanatory why the likes of Finn wouldn't even think of that.
