The Stygian Champion, a monster that showed that even the Stygians can surpass their limits and become very powerful, was crucial in the Battle of Vistula, being the only person Finn even had a little trouble with. Poisoned blades, a heavy shockwave and fearsome stamina, he is strong but not top tier.

Who can he actually defeat?

Can: Swift Star

Swift, as Lightning's apprentice, is a powerful warrior, and also very brave. He is smart enough to overcome stronger foes, and also has mild ice powers. Alas, he is still beatable, as the Stygian is also smart enough to turn a situation in his favor and his poisoned blades will be trouble if they land a hit.

Can't: Dahlia Hawthorne

Dahlia simply hard counters the Stygian. She is a vampire, she can regenerate, and she is also immune to poison. Poison is her gift as well, meaning she can fill the demon with arsenic or something corrosive. She is also faster than him, and while he is a trained killer, she is very experienced as well.

Can: Jonnie Goodboy Tyler

Silver Moblins, Elite Stygians, Jonnie, all of them are Rookie Killers. Jonnie is physically very strong, and he is durable enough to take several lightsaber slashes and a headshot with a blaster. But the Champion can poison him and gradually weaken his durability. He can also block the blaster bolts Jonnie will fire at him, and the man's club won't kill him fast.

Can't: Don Krieg

Krieg is the leader of the Pirate Armada, and at his best can take the Champion. Sure, the demon will land hits. But for the poison to work, he must break the tough armor first, while his defense can be penetrated with the exploding spear. Also Krieg can pelt him with rockets and bombs from a distance.

Can: Hawk Fenton

The president of Vistula, Hawk has homing missiles, feather projectiles and a heavy beam from his Hawk Bazooka. From a long distance, Hawk wins. However, he has no options in close range. Thus, if the Champion gets lucky and closes the distance, since he can survive a single barrage of missiles, he can stab and poison the politician. He also can knock him down with a shockwave and then close the distance.

Can't: Din Djarin

The Champion did barely penetrate Adamantine, but Beskar is a little harder, meaning Din won't be poisoned immediately. Also the Mandalorian has his jetpack, meaning he will not be hit by the shockwave, homing missiles that will weaken the foe and a flamethrower. What cements his victory is the Darksaber, as Din is not helpless in close combat.

Can: Golden Moblin

The Moblin equivalent of the Stygian Champion does stand a chance, especially if it has a bazooka or lightsaber. But that doesn't guarantee victory. The Stygian is more durable by far, and he also dual wields poisoned blades. He will still struggle, but unlike the Moblins he has some advanced magic, his very destructive shockwave.

Can't: Red Arremer

The Arremer is an elite demon unit, employed a lot by Astaroth. They are extremely fast, faster than vampires even, and can fly. They can punch hard, fire energy balls and spheres of flames, and even summon minions. On paper the Stygian needs one or two slashes, but he won't land them.

Can: Nessie

Sure, as a dhampire, she won't have much trouble with the poison. But does the Stygian need it? He is far more skilled than her, and he won't let her land a hit. Plus, her telepathy won't save her from a sword to the face.

Can't: Rey

Rey Skywalker is a powerful Jedi. She is leagues above the demon with her lightsaber, considering Finn was superior to him as well. She can bury him under boulders, electrocute through his defense and triple jump over his shockwaves. The Champion doesn't stand a chance.
