Sans stats-wise is a weakling. He takes one hit and deals little damage on paper. In practice, that's not true. He is fast, and can dodge hits very very easily. He also has attacks that are very hard to avoid, his Karmic Retribution makes things worse for villains, and he is extremely smart.

He is not easy, but not invincible either. Who can beat him?

Can: Finn

While the two would never fight, Sans would not have this in the back. The karmic retribution would be useless. Especially pre-Exegol. Currently, Finn is very well prepared for Sans. He can sense attacks coming from everywhere, take a lot of punishment and home blaster bolts with the Force. Which means Finn can hit Sans. Then again, even a Force Push can do the job...

Can't: Don Krieg

Krieg is a pirate with several weapons and a huge ego. But alas, he is not prepared for Sans. The gas bombs won't work, Sans is a skeleton. The net can be destroyed by some good Gaster Blasters. And Sans can dodge everything else, despite Krieg's high attack speed. Also, Krieg himself isn't fast and he can get hit. Sans doesn't care about Krieg's strong defense, he will always land some damage. The Don is also a bad person, so KR is effective on him.

Can: Leah Clearwater

Apart from the fact that a werewolf is the bane of a skeleton, which is not set in stone, Sans is faster than most fighters. Leah in her wolf form is not most fighters. While she can be quite mean, the KR would only be mildly effective against her. Leah also has a mean health regeneration that can cancel the weak KR. While Sans can dodge her human form, even the Sonic Overdrive, the Multi-Sided Strike always hits and can only be countered by defending. It's also extremely strong, meaning one touch and Sans is a goner.

Can't: Shuten Doji

Shuten Doji is way stronger than any of the protagonists in Stormwolf. Yet, while the power couple can beat Sans, Shuten would not be so lucky. He is very strong and durable, but he is way slower than Sans and will never hit him. If drunk, he is done for: he statistically is way above the skeleton, but he doesn't dodge nor will he land a hit. Also, this demon kidnapped a woman to make her give him sake and eats people, so of course KR will work against him.

Can: Rey Skywalker

Rey is balanced between Light and Dark, and the KR she will get is moderate. She also is very agile and will dodge several of Sans' attacks, especially after she learns tripe jump. While her lightsaber will never strike home, she can snap bones of her enemies, so she can smash Sans.

Can't: Lightning Dawn

Lightning would only get a little more KR than Rey, plus he is very strong, fast and durable. However, he is too straightforward. His attacks are easily telegraphed and only beams and punches, which are very much dodgeable. Also, the defense of Lightning IS strong, but due to KR Sans can deal legitimate damage. Finally, Sans is more creative, so he has it in the bag.

Can: Vlad

Vlad has some disadavntages. As a villain, he is vulnerable to KR, and his Bone Magic takes time. But he is a Vampire Lord. He can take a lot of punishment. And regenerate as well. So, he can tank some Gaster Blasters while he tries to use his special magic. If he does, he can break Sans' spine, which is undodgeable. Sans won't survive that.

Can't: Hectan

The one-hit point wonders collide! Hectan has a powerful shield and hard to avoid spells. However, Sans outclasses him in speed, both in movement and attack. He would rip Hectan apart.

Can: Astaroth

His first form, while invulnerable everywhere but the head, would struggle. He is very evil, so KR would be very effective, he has telekinesis that can redirect his beams, but not completely home ot so Sans does have a chance, and Sans can also avoid the Hellfire. It's the second form that will destroy the skeleton. Astaroth can create a pit that will really restrict his movements, and his telekinesis improves a lot. Finally, his Hellfire can't be countered with telekinesis.

Can't: Dahlia

She won't go down easily. This vampire is very skilled at killing, can attack with poison, but above all else her vampirism makes her fast and able to regenerate. So, why does she lose? All her attacks are avoidable except the gasses Sans would be immune to, and the KR would abolutely destroy her. Then again, she shouldn't scream rape falsely and murder so many civilians.
