While one of the most morally white characters of my stories, and my favorite, Finn is far from flawless. Here are the times he wasn't in the right, at least not completely. Which times do you consider him wrong?

1. Refusing to learn Force Healing

The one time he was an asshole and regretted it ever since. Force Healing was traumatic to him, as it reminded him of how Rey showed favoritism to Kylo over him. In his defense, Kylo was abusive human trash, and Rey should have healed his back scar, but this doesn't justify him refusing to learn a technique that really suits his urge to help others. He later regrets it and learns healing from Rey herself.

2. Picking a fight with Takara unarmed

Finn, seeing the abuse Takara dealt to her subordinates, lost control and attacked her with his bare hands. While good in hand to hand, he was handicapping himself and allowed Takara to put up a good fight. His hesitation to finish her off led to a defeat that did not represent his skill level, as the rematch showed.

3. Charging at a High General

Sure, this stopped Zant from killing everyone else, but Finn still cut through his army and instead of escaping, he stayed to stop Zant. Aware that Zant was way above Alastor and that Alastor had pushed Finn and Leah simultaneously at their limits. He landed a few hits, but nearly died and Leah had to save him. It still saved many lives, but nearly ended his.

4. He has sabotaged himself to help his allies

Finn is sacrificial. He has intentionally chosen an arena that kept civilians safe, a desert while making it favor his opponent who relied on brute strength. He also turned his back to Kor to Force Heal his sister, which resulted in him losing life force and getting shot in the back. He even blew up a Sith Holocron instead of finding a safer way to destroy it.

5. He left Rey

Yes, the event that kickstarts the whole plot. Not that he should just let her see him as someone granted or worse, but he was suspicious that an imprint was there. While Rey deserved to be called out for everything in TROS, she wasn't fully guilty, as Finn found out late. He also still didn't forgive her until she fully healed his scar and apologized to him humbly.

Dishonorable mentions:

Taking a hit for Leah against Rey: it was the lesser of the three evils by far, but still nearly killed him.
Getting mad at Poe and raising his blaster for killing Slip: he was manipulated by Palpatine and stopped early enough for that to barely count.
