pan2000Koby is a Hero of Another Story in One Piece. He started as the weakest character in the whole manga, being a whiny kid that could not fight back, but now he has become much, much more competent. He still though has limits like everyone else. If he was dropped in the adventures of Stormwolf, could he survive in a world of vampires, demons and Force users?
Well, actually he could beat some characters.
Can: Jonnie Goodboy Tyler
Jonnie is a very lucky Rookie Killer, who ended up in a world where everyone else was about as strong as Axe-Hand Morgan at best. However, he is not used to actually powerful enemies. While he once he was much stronger than Koby, with great army and arsenal, as well as physical strength, things have changed. He definitely can't stand up to Haki.
Can't: Finn
Koby always looked up to Luffy and wanted to surpass him. So far, he doesn't. Maybe he will have better luck with this protagonist? Not really. His Observation Haki and superhuman speed would make him as fearsome as an average Force user. He is also pretty smart. So, why does he lose? Because Finn has the Force, which allows him to easily sense movements from even vampires, just like Koby's Haki. He also has a superior arsenal, which includes a blaster (which is scary in his hands), a lightsaber, detonators and the Microwave Beam. Plus, his armor can take a lot of punishment.
Can: Nessie
Not all vampires are equal. This dhampire has the physical abilities of a regular vampire and telepathy, but she is still a spoiled child who has been seen as the center of the world and provoking her could bring an army of vampires on you. A Celestial Vampire, maybe? However, Koby has the Haki to see her movements and Rokushiki to be fast as her, plus skills she has not due to his massive training. Koby can beat any standard vampire, really, and Nessie is no exception.
Can't: Fang
The above is for standard vampires. Not Vampire Lords with gifts that are combat-oriented. Fang, for example, is a Vampire Lord and a Master of Ice. He can make icicles out of nowhere, a spiked ice armor that regenerates, thick ice swords that only falter to lightsabers, barrages of icicles, even the dreaded Ice Storm. Having superhuman strength, speed and agility alone won't really help against this foe without something to counter this ice.
Can: Shibata Katsuie
This guy was a minion of Mori Ranmaru at the Children of Oda Nobunaga. He was a tough foe, with his shield, sword and bombs, especially the bombs. However, he was still just an above average human. Koby can handle him with his training and Haki.
Can't: Lightning Dawn
The two initially look similar. No special abilities, just superhuman strength and reflexes. One has Observation Haki, the other an advanced visor. However, this changes once Lightning starts using his special attacks. His Rainbow Rod is manageable, but his Uniforce hits too hard for Koby and the Enticorn form hurt even Zant, who is a reality warping High General. Lightning is far stronger.
Can: Vi Moradi
Vi is an expert spy who has no powers, but is very sneaky and great with gadgets. She can beat anyone with no powers in hand-to-hand combat. Pity Koby's biggest feat is stopping a stealthed torpedo with his Haki, which means his powers are best used on normal spies, while Vi's only duel against a proper Force user leads to her death.
Can't: Minotaur
The Minotaur is a fearsome foe for rookies, even above a Rookie Killer. While Koby can sense him through the smoke the savage beast emits, even his training won't be enough, as the Minotaur is very dangerous in melee combat. His double axe and his charges are very damaging, and he is big enough to withstand multiple attacks.
Can: Rapid Razors
The first true challenge for Alix, Razors is a master with knives and even has a special tecnique, the Whirlwind of Wonder. He can also throw a barrage of knives and has the superhuman Unicornicopian strength. However, Koby can use his Haki to anticipate and dodge his attacks and could do a little damage to Luffy in Marineford, thus he can also fight back against this guard. He can reach him and best him in melee combat if he is careful about the Whirlwind of Wonder.
Can't: Shuten Doji
There is no doubt Koby has become a competent fighter in One Piece and can also beat several enemies in my stories. But he is still way beneath the Archdemons. Even drunk, Shuten is a force to be reckoned with. Sober he actually beat Leah in a fight where she went all-out, and didn't really take too much damage. Koby could probably dodge some of his attacks, especially if Shuten is drunk, but he would do too little damage, and he would probably get hit by the fiery hair or the Sake Combustion. Shuten would win with moderate effort if he is drunk.
Well, actually he could beat some characters.
