I like to make my battles not being all the same. Sometimes strength does play a role in victory. But others outwitting takes first place. When did David beat Goliath and when did Goliath win?
Goliath: Rey vs Jonnie
Jonnie really thought he was powerful and a great god. Because he was facing only weaklings. After being fed humble pie by Finn, he underestimated the even stronger Rey and attacked her with brute force. Rey kiled him with hardly any effort.
David: Finn vs Benjamin
Benjamin was way, way above Finn in power level. He had just killed a Jedi, Master Toni, and knocked Leah out in one hit. It wasn't a true battle, as Finn was running away most of the time. The powerful vampire came close to killing his enemy more than once, and was only defeated by having his fireball reflected at him.
Goliath: Leah vs Al Astor
Leah has faced multiple enemies in her career, and has defeated some who are stronger than her. But this guy was way, way, way above her. She had only an advantage in speed and put up a good fight, but she ultimately lost and was captured, as her strength just wasn't enough.
David: Poe vs Torron
A pilot with no superpowers whatsoever, armed with one single fighter ship, against a colossal minotaur who could make shockwaves by merely walking. The shockwaves did take out multiple of Poe's men, but the ace pilot used his skills and endured the damage he got, and in the end he destroyed Torron and his "survival of the fittest" ideals.
Goliath: Ranmaru vs Hanzo
Hanzo was a Japanese man who knew Ki and fought alongside Stormwolf for a short while. He was a valuable asset against Yokai and could infuse his katana with Ki, which made it able to parry even lightsabers as long as the buff lasted. But he still was no match for Mori Ranmaru and his destructive fire. Hanzo did hold his own and deal damage, but when he ran out of Ki, Ranmaru slaughtered him.
David: Leah vs Armilla
Armilla is and will be one of Leah's toughest challenges ever. Her gift, teleportation, was superior to Leah's super speed, and she also had better arsenal, including lethal silver knives. Armilla nearly killed her archenemy multiple times, one of which was with a bulldozer and another by flying high and throwing her from the top of a skyscraper. However, Leah outsmarted her foe, led her to traps, and exploited her bad left leg to beat her.
Goliath: Virago vs Stone Heart
Stone Heart might have powerful magic, and he nearly won by using the Ring of Fear to torture Virago. However, once physically fighting, he proved to be weaker than his rival. His offesnive magic was no match for the Force, and Virago's Orca Swords were way, way too much for him. From the two, only Virago was a warrior.
David: Finn & Leah vs Al Astor (Round 2)
Leah got far stronger and had Finn's help when she fought the Archdemon again. This time, things were different, but not too much. Al was still stronger than them and nearly beat them. Finn even got temporarily knocked out and Leah had to fight alone until he recovered. But through clever teamwork, they gradually weakened their fearsome foe until Leah punched him a hundred times and Finn threw him out of his skyscraper. That finished the monster off.
Goliath: Finn vs Zant
Finn has took on several stronger enemies, but he was not always lucky. After several major successes, he caught the attention of one of the legends, whom even the Archdemons were scared of. Finn was little more than an ordinary Jedi who was very clever, and he fought a reality warper with no help at all until the end. He never stood a chance.
David: Finn vs Lightning Dawn
One of the morals of this fight was "brute force doesn't always win". Lightning was at Rey's power level, and also had her attitude. Every punch he landed on Finn did severe damage, while some of Finn's attacks did next to nothing to his foe. However, intelligence went the other way round: Finn was running circles around Lightning. The Jedi managed, due to this fact and his determination, to beat his adversary and spare him... twice in a row!
