Why Ben should stay dead
Feb. 12th, 2020 12:23 amTROS had its pros and cons. On the one hand, we had cool battle scenes, worldbuilding, Lando, Force-Sensitive Finn, cool new characters. On the other hand, we had focus on the bond between Kylo and Rey. Saying this bond belongs in the trash is an insult to trash. And that kiss was akward and disgusting.
Kylo did things. He mudered his father, ursuped Snoke, framed Rey, invaded her mind, slashed Finn's back when he tried to defend Rey, tried to kill Luke, tortured Poe was behind the slaughter of his classmates and many villages... and people, instead of complaining that he is portrayed as a victim, which is sick and wrong, complain that he DIED? If you do want to change the ending, retcon the stupid kiss, not the death.
Instead, when Rey looks at the twin suns, she should be holding hands with Finn. The true male lead and hero of the ST. He gets a lot of undeserved hate to the point I genuinely feel sorry for him. But if someone believes kidnapping, invading minds and calling people nobody is romantic, sorry, but I hope you never find a person like Ben. Because if you do find a person like Ben, he will torture you and pretend he is the victim.
In other words, the romanticisation of Ben is a colossal mistake. Want real victims forced into evil and forgotten, while being treated undeservingly badly? The Stormtroopers. Ben escaped the rest of the consequences, please allow him, Disney, to truly get punished for once!
