Spitefic: My little alliance

Stormwolf was travelling across galaxies, reading the most awful stuff possible.

Those included the story of Eutracia, or how it would be if nobody dealt with that irresponsible, sexist, obstructive, cowardly bully that was Wigg, a wizard that would disgust even Grand Ruler Celesto, as well as the sorceress Succiu, who got turned into an abomination by Kudos and it was still an improvement.

It also had Isolder's propaganda piece, which included himself and Luke enjoying being sex slaves, and Rey was trying not to puke as she remembered her imprint. Finn nearly threw the book out of an airlock when a supposed heroine casually mentioned the men around her are never named.

And for more abuse apologism, they also saw an alternate reality where the Titans were high school students, and Beast Boy apparently, because of his dark past, had every right to be an asshole to everyone who didn't suffer as much as he did.

"The Beast Boy I know" Virago comments "would never act like that. Ever.

He might be childish, but he is funny, he is friendly, he is loyal, he is creative with his shapeshifting, and he never whines, his angst for his dark past is reasonable. That's Beast Boy."

"Accurate" Poe replies.

As they get closer to their destination, Stormwolf talk about other things.

"So, what do you plan to do, Leah, after Celesto goes down?" Finn asks.

"Maybe revisit La Push with my brother. I hope my mom loves me more now."

"Can I come as well?"

"Well... my stepdad doesn't really like you. Even though I keep telling him his daughter was trying to kill you so the vampires would keep eating people."

"I didn't have a choice. I am still sorry about what I have done." Finn tells her.

Leah hugs him. "Again. You couldn't spare her and survive. Don't feel bad about it."

Soon, the fleet of Stormwolf lands on the moon of United Equestria as night falls on Canterlot and Ponyville.

Which gets them spotted by two people.

A noble, white knight, and the dark princess he guards.

"Your Majesty" the knight says "Stormwolf has gathered their whole forces on our moon!"

"Let them. They mean no harm" the princess replies.

"Are you sure? I mean, they killed Rhymey Ward and Talon Ted. Aren't we supposedly on Starfleet's side?" the knight asks.

"No, Sir Arien. Please go back to guarding the dreams of people. Besides, you should thank them for killing Stone Heart and ending his nightmares" the princess orders.

"Yes, Your Majesty" Sir Arien bows down.

And so, Stormwolf lands with no resistance.

"We should stop there for the night" Poe orders. "We will make our move at dawn."

"The issue is that here we have no oxygen." Q protests.

"Then where could we land?" Gray asks.

"This will still be our base. Small transports will go to United Equestria now, stealthed. But our main, and more visible, base will be here." Poe explains.

"Very well. But what will we do at night? We are here for diplomacy, not..." Finn protests.

"We will gather the existing rebels. I am pretty sure they have the decency to operate at night. Rey, call Prosecutor Thunder Shark now. He will tell us his location" Poe orders.

Rey nods.

And she activates the Holocall.

Only for Thunder Shark to be sleeping.

"Damn it! Anyway, we will try again at dawn" Rey tells the others.

Meanwhile, the Starfleet warriors are sleeping like logs and dreaming.

Starla dreams of exploring the entire Galaxy certain Stormwolf members come from. She has heard about Tatooine revolving around twin suns, and wants to study that phenomenon herself.

Lightning dreams of Harmonious being restored, and himself reuniting with his family.

Artie dreams of his art becoming fabled, and even his parents praising him.

Rarity's dreams are more filled with regret. She hated herself for her choice when offered to be a great seamstress and escape an army which called her stupid at every chance.

Swift Star had said it brilliantly, he had mentioned how Lightning and his friends, no, subordinates, had no reaction whatsoever when Kudos burned her face and called her slurs. Except showing sympathy for him because he was dumped, and it wasn't even Rarity who did that. At least Spike, if he loved her so much, could have defended her.

She should have left Starfleet and pursue her dream job, with none to shame her for her attitude, when she had the chance. But she was thinking of the other Mane Four, and Spike. Who was kind with her when he didn't join Starfleet at mocking her for caring about her looks.

Or when he didn't get paranoid whenever Rarity even talked to any man outside of Starfleet.

She couldn't fully blame him, though.

Because Spike had to physically mature before he matured mentally, no thanks to Bad Horse, and Starfleet enabled his most immature traits. Once he had said he was too young and maybe shouldn't be with Rarity, which made Lightning lecture him about weakness and disloyalty.

The thoughts woke her up.

Which promptly led to Spike waking up as well to come to her side.

"Rarity? What's wrong?"

"I should have left to become the most famous seamstress in a planetary, no, galactic level.

There, nobody will mock me for my looks, or for caring about them, or for my intelligence, while my loving, caring husband takes the side of the bullies in public!

But then again, should I blame you, or maybe Bad Horse's manipulation that made me too distant, or maybe Starfleet, who not only bully me often, but are a toxic influence to you as well?" Rarity snaps.

"I... I am sorry. I thought..."

"Well, I can take it much more than someone like the late Stone Heart, good riddance, but even I have my limits." Rarity tells him. "If you mock my personality, if you don't like it, why did you marry me?

I know it isn't just my looks. You are not Blueblood!"

"Your bravery. You might be a bit vain, but you are also kind, generous, honest, seriously, how did Collars think he could frame you with plagiarizing, you can be brave and even sacrifice your looks to save a life, and the looks are just a bonus."

Spike catches his breath. "But I promise you. I will change. It is indeed stupid of me to join the mockery of my beloved wife!"

At dawn, Poe, Finn, Leah, Rey and Alix go to New Ponyville.

Where they meet some Starfleet soldiers.

"We are friends, let us pass."

"You are friends, I will let you pass."

Then Rey turns to Finn. "See why Mind Trick is important? Nobody got hurt, plus we gathered no unnecessary attention."

"I still think mind control is worse than killing. I wouldn't want to force anyone to do my bidding unwillingly!" Finn tells Rey.

"Oh come on, it's just temporary!" Rey protests. "They gain their free will later!"

"Just because it's temporary doesn't mean they haven't still been thralls of someone against their will. And when it runs out, unless they forget what happened? The other guys will be livid" Finn replies.

"Come on, at least you know I don't mind control my own allies. It's only on enemies to avoid senseless violence." Rey tells him. "Some of them are slavers anyway."

"By that logic, someone who tortures people deserves to be tortured just as brutally and worse. Also, you have done that to innocents groomed to die for some selfish villains. Killing many of them them is something I can't fully absolve myself of, even with the Uprising. But brainwashing them is another kind of wrong." Finn tells her.

"Oh, stop arguing! Rey is free to use the Mind Trick and Finn is free not to!" Poe knocks sense into both of them.

Finally, they all get to the library.

"Now it isn't the time to read books!" Poe tells them.

"No, Poe. We are not here for books. I sensed a secret passage in this library." And he uses the Force to guide everyone there.

"You had to sense it?" Leah tells Finn. "I could smell something coming from behind that bookcase. Something like horse manure."

Rey snorts. "That's because, as I can sense with the Force, there is someone in a nearby toilet."

"Anyway, let's open the bookcase. But seriously, this is one of the oldest tricks in the book. How come Starfleet never bothers to look here?" Leah asks.

"They are in the dark about way more than this bookcase, that's why" Finn replies.

With some effort, Leah opens it.

"Not gonna lie, they used a good seal if I am struggling now."

"That's because it's meant to not open by even the physical strength of a Space Pony."

And Rainbow Dash emerges in the blink of an eye.

"Welcome, Stormwolf. You caught us in a bad time. You see, Twily is busy. Duty called her."

"Yeah, I can smell it!" Leah tells her, while closing her nose.

"Leah, that's rude" Finn tells her.

"Well, get wolf senses and you will feel my pain as well!" Leah turns to him.

"That's a great first impression we give!" Poe tells them.

Both Finn and Leah turn to him. "It's not our first!"

Rainbow nods. "They helped us save the planet Ainzul from the Shis, sir..."

"Poe Dameron, leader of Stormwolf and the Resistance. It's General."

"And I am Rainbow Dash. Speedster, scout, the fastest of all ponies.

Don't buy the propaganda about Rhymey being a thousand times faster than me, when we sparred, he was really struggling to catch up!" Rainbow chuckles.

"Well, if he was, Matt Engarde would still be at large" Finn tells her. "We would never catch him before the trial was over."

"Personally? I didn't feel sad about Rhymey. He was a bully, a Unicornicopian supermacist, and he imprinted on poor Fluttershy. Also, his speech was annoying," Rainbow admits.

"And a mob enforcer" Rey adds.

"That as well. Hold on a second, I am calling the girls to meet you!"

And Rainbow becomes a blue blur, getting the rest of the Mane Five and Spike in two seconds.

Everyone shakes hands.

Applejack is talking to Leah. "Ah still remember how we fought Rai Shi as if it was yesterday."

"Well, we freed an entire planet from the Black Legion!" Leah replies. "That's no small feat! Moreover, I got to see my lost brother again!"

"And we also revived one of our friends, Twilight! And that's why ah remember this day as one of the best days of my life."

Meanwhile, Finn is talking to Spike.

"So, Spike, you tell me Rarity fell for a rude asshole who was bad at hiding his evil, and so she snapped at you?

I honestly would be livid, but this sounded very much like an imprint. Either she imprinted or she tried to break your heart to save you, even if it put her in further danger.

But why would there be an imprint?" Finn asks.

"Because the Dark King was becoming too dangerous. He was openly challenging the future Dark One for territories. After he conquered a Legion outpost on his own, and Bad Horse tried to become a spy on Starfleet, emphasis on tried, a Dyad could have formed between him and Rarity, which made them, who were a being of Darkness and a loyal friend respectively, do things that are outright harmful to their side, so both sides would be weakened.

Then again, I was too dead to properly analyze if it actually was an imprint!"

Finn flinches. "You are... the one that stopped the..."

"Oh, no need, you had weakened the Hunters for me. And yeah, I know about the imprints a lot because I read the library of Heaven. It has books for defense against them. I am saying this theory makes sense, because I also read a book about how your Galaxy fought the Final Order. You did good, Fleet Killer."

"Twily, you finally got out of the toilet?" Rainbow teases her.

"I wasn't expecting guests, and you can't fully control when you poop!" Twilight tells her.

Then she turns to the Jedi. "So, what brings you here?"

"I want to make an alliance. We should see each other as friends from now on" Finn extends his hand.

"Well, you all seem like nice guys, and I would prefer an official alliance with a side that treats me as an equal and not just as a subordinate!" Twilight takes Finn's hand, sealing the alliance.

Rey gives Twilight a cold look.

Which prompts Poe to tease her. "It's just a diplomatic alliance. Why so riled up? Maybe because Finn gives his hand to other women?"

"Well... it is definitely that. But he is with Leah and Twilight is a humanoid pony, so I don't know why I feel like this."

"Might be the conversation he had with Spike. If it was an imprint, I can really sympathize with poor Rarity. Same about if she acted like a jerk to protect Spike. I would try to protect Finn as well.

But alas, you don't know the value of someone until you almost lose them forever. That's why I am so jealous about him. Because I came so close after Exegol. And all because of an imprint!"

Rarity comes towards her and pats her shoulder to comfort her. "I know how you feel, Rey. Bad Horse had almost killed Spike when he was unmasked. And I was terrified."

Meanwhile, Leah and Rainbow... are getting along in their own way.

"You are the fastest werewolf alive, or at least the fastest member of Stormwolf?

Interesting, I love challenges. Wanna go on a race with me?"

"Absolutely!" Leah tells her. "You are gonna eat dust!"

And they have already rushed out of the hideout.

Both of them spring low.

"All across New Ponyville, circling it!" Rainbow explains. "Last one is Emil Kudos!"

"Three... two... one..."

And two blurs, one blue, one gray, run side by side.

And even the other pegasi struggle to see them clearly.

As the two keep running next to each other, Finn and Twilight go to the library to read books, while Twilight makes a magical shield to ensure no sound comes out of it.

However, the sound can still come in.

"So, Twilight, do you like chess?" Finn asks.

"I do. Unfortunately, the only ones who like this game from us are Rarity and I... she had nobody to play with for a while.

Lightning dismissed the game as one that has too few variables and thus is easy." Twilight tells him, holding herself not to cry about leaving Rarity unable to do one of her favorite activities.

At least she gave Finn ground to cheer her up. "Well, Lightning simply refuses to play because in chess you can't just get an overpowered build and fire a beam at a King. At least before he grew a bit wiser, he was the person who would lose to a Scholar's Mate."

"So, you and Lightning... are rivals, right?" Twilight asks. "From Heaven, I could see him against you. I initially rooted for him in your first duel, until close to the end when I saw your true colors."

"We are. It's always my brains and gear against his brawn and speed. Don't ask why I won both times," Finn strokes his own chin.

"Oh, I cannot guess why" Twilight teases. "Anyway, what book would you like to read before we play a chess match?"

"The history of how Starfleet came here to rule this planet" Finn answers.

"Ok. However, because it has some inaccuracies, I would love to make corrections as you are reading."

Rainbow and Leah keep racing. While both have become faster than the human eye can see at all, Rainbow has one advantage. She knows this place like the palm of her hand, even though she would prefer to say like her forehooves.

Which allows her to take some better paths and not take small pauses to see her surroundings, and gives her the lead.

As fast as Leah can run, she can't close the distance, only not make it bigger whenever she didn't have to stop for nanoseconds.

"Well, if this isn't fair, I have no regrets!" She turns into her wolf form and runs in all fours, as fast as she can.

As she passes Rainbow, she pulls her tongue at her before opening the distance further and further.

Rainbow snorts. "A transformation, huh? Well, no cheating if I use my abilities!"

She opens her wings and flies above some buildings, the lack of friction allowing her to slowly catch up to Leah.

Finally, in five minutes, they both return to the starting point at the exact same time, sweating.

"Three laps for the rematch?" Rainbow asks between deep breaths.

"Three laps, one lap is boring" Leah replies, panting.

Meanwhile, Finn is reading some history, and Twilight sits next to him.

"Lord Titan? And his minions are Dementia, Mysterious and Rep-Stallion? These names are familiar to me" Finn comments.

"Oh? You faced Titan as well?" Twilight asks. "He is not so harmless. He might have started dumb, but the guy gets increasingly smarter and tougher."

"Not personally. But Titan's Trio did enter our Galaxy, and were a thorn in our late General's side. Leia had to face them to become a true Jedi. She did give them the boot eventually" Finn explains.

"Who is Leia?" Twilight asks.

"She is our old leader and mentor. She died before the decisive Battle of Exegol to save her son from his own evil. And Rey as well, though her perilous situation, between us, was completely avoidable." Finn sighs.

"She pulled a Lightning, I suppose? In the name of protection on paper, and being the only one who saves the day in practice, she went on her own?" Twilight asks.

"You know exactly what I feel."

And the two share a laugh.

"Ok, ok, except she was imprinted and her mind was clouded" Finn interrupts.

"Still like Lightning. He has become far more decent since he got Swift as a pupil and more independence from Grand Ruler."

Finn nods. "And Rey is a very good person without the imprint poisoning her mind.

So, back to the story, didn't know Titan's Trio were his constructs."

"I don't know either. History says they were emotionless, but it's nonsense."

"Well, Leia never said they were emotionless" Finn tells her. "According to her, they could feel anger, sorrow, and even had humor. Dementia also cared about her looks a lot, which is unexpected for someone made only to murder."

"Well, Starfleet has a tendency to demonize some enemies. Those guys were brutish conquerors, but they were actually less ruthless than the Yuuzhan Vong. And even those guys have standards."

Rey is gorging herself with one of Pinkie's cakes. "This is delicious! How much can I eat?" she asks.

"Eat the whole cake if you like! I can always bake more!" Pinkie tells her.

"Are you generocity incarnate?" Rey asks.

"No, that's Rarity. I am Laughter.

What makes you think I am generous?" Pinkie asks.

"My shitty old guardian. I had to work hard for a quarter of a ration." Rey tells her.

"That's just silly. Work is good and all, but basic food and shelter are the two things even the worst sloths deserve!" Pinkie blushes.

"Don't forget clothes, Pinkie!" Rarity adds. "So... anyway, because Twilight is busy with Finn, I wonder if anyone here likes chess."

Poe raises his hand. "Me! And I challenge you right now!"

"Not fair. I challenge you as well!" Rarity tells him.

And the two squads have all the fun in the world.
