Five characters from my fics Redbane can beat and five he can't
Redbane is Astaroth's best fighter. He is fast, very strong and sneaky, and has even killed a hero.
Whom can he prevent from reaching his master?
Can: Fake Finn
Sure, Fake Finn might be able to land some hits, but that's not guaranteed. Redbane can turn invisible and dodge, or just block shots with his wings. He can also kill the imposter very easily with shuriken.
Can't: Astaroth
Redbane might be much faster and have the means to harm his direct superior, but he is not winning this battle. He might be able to fight his base form evenly, but when Astaroth becomes a giant, he will crush him like a bug. His durability is massive, his Hellfire is by far superior and he is deceptively smart.
Can: Armilla
Redbane is actually stronger than Armilla, his power level is close to that of the Hammer of Abyss. While she is fast and can teleport, he is just as fast and can turn invisible. And while she can pelt him with knives, he can easily block them and burn her to ash with shurikens.
Can't: Rey
Rey is the most powerful member of Stormwolf, and she can counter him, especially now that she has become much more strategic. She can Force Choke him, which ignores his mighty defense, sense him with the Force to counter his invisibility, triple jump to counter his flight (or just bring him to the ground) and her Force abilities and speed can let her evade the massive energy ball Redbane can fire.
Can: Starla Shine
This battle would be quite even, considering it's a very skilled archer with super speed and flight against Redbane. But the demon has slain a superb archer who could home his shots, Sir Kay, so his loss to Starla is not guaranteed. He can block her barrages with his wings, is very skilled in melee range, can also attack from a distance with shurikens and his Bane Orb is very suitable for fighters with high durability like Starla. The edge goes to Redbane for better defense.
Can't: Ganondorf
Why is he here? Why is he neccessary to be mentioned? Well, Redbane in the original Ghosts and Goblins had a different name, which in this story is the name of the first Demon King. So, how does Redbane fare against the current one? Badly. His wings can block many attacks, but nothing stops him from being blown up from the inside. Also, the Bane Orb is very destructive, but it only blew up two ships at once. Ganondorf survived Palpatine's Force Storm that could electrocute and paralyze a whole fleet.
Can: Leah Clearwater
This match is not going to be easy. At all. But Redbane still has the advantage. While she is even faster than him, and in strength and durability they have similar feats, Leah has two problems that make the job harder, even though she has grown since she struggled with a single Arremer. Namely, she can't fly, and she has very limited ranged options. So, while her Ten-Sided Strike can draw blood if used at the right time, the odds are stacked against Leah.
Can't: Emperor Palpatine
Palpatine has been the final villain of the previous arc, and he was leagues above Redbane. While Redbane can oneshot him in a physical body IF his Bane Orb connects, Palpatine can very easily reflect it. He can also use the Force to choke and drain Redbane, bypassing his defense. His Force Lightning is unmatched, and his Force Storm had obliterated two Barons simultaneously, meaning he is much stronger than Redbane. Plus, Palpatine is so strong in the Force Redbane's invisibility will do nothing.
Can: Ilia
Ilia is very good at archery, and also at riding a horse. However, Redbane killed the even better Sir Kay. So, Ilia will easily go down to him, most of her arrows blocked by her foe's wings.
Can't: Finn
Redbane was very lucky the vampires made sure Finn stayed out of his fight with the knights. Sure, Finn failed to save Kay from Redbane, but in a duel, he would certainly avenge him. He is a Force user, so the invisibility isn't very useful, plus Finn can smash him to the ground with the Force. He also can home explosives on him, bypassing his defense, or freeze him with the Cold Shot so he can land a good hit with the Microwave Beam. Finally, he can deflect the Bane Orb. Overall, Finn would win this with some struggle.
