Battle Circuit all bosses easiest to hardest (includes mini bosses)

Battle Circuit is the best beat em up I have ever played bar none.

Five characters with different gameplay, imaginative backgrounds, two different endings, challenging but fair. While the basic enemies are creative, the bosses and mini bosses is where the game shines. Let's do this, starting from easiest to hardest.

15. Doctor Saturn

The very first boss and the joke villain of the game, you have to beat him in sixty seconds along with all of his minions. Don't worry, he is such a wimp you can do it in 15 seconds.

14. Black Elephant

Saturn makes his way here for a second time, as he is a recurring boss. Well, his Black Elephant is one of the bosses which would be the hardest in a generic beat em up. It can jump high to stomp you, ram you, has plenty of minions to help, and even a special like yours that, while slow to charge, is strong and takes priority over all your attacks. But, since you will have some upgrades until then, he is still a pushover if you are careful.

13. Chris, Cathy, Betsy

The boss version of the Bike Gals, they all wield katanas and show their tits like their minions. The thing is, they deal little damage, and they are actually very easy to hit if you keep moving. They are also late in the game, when you will be upgraded enough to smack them. Finally, they usually stop before charging, long enough for you to beat the shit out of them.

12. B.O.B.

While the regular R.O.B. enemies are all very easy to deal with... this guy is also quite easy, and if you don't get grabbed, you can beat it untouched. It would rank lower than the Bike Gals if not for one detail: it has a charged cannon attack that deals massive damage, surpassed by only a few does. So, it can truly punish you.

11. Johnny

The first real boss, and he is a wake up call. Elvis, as he can also be called, attacks with his guitar, and that means explosive notes, star projectiles and guitar whacks. He also has a slide and a stomp attack. His weak flunkies can distract you, and he is smart: he stays out of range from your special often. But he is still easy until he gets low in health and speeds up. And he basically becomes Rolento. And no, he is still not the hardest boss by far.

10. Dr. Saturn final fight

Saturn pulls out all the stops against you in the end. He rides the Black Elephant and also has the dreaded Octopus Mark 3 to plant bombs into the battlefield. He also gets the additional attack of making several clones if himself. On paper, this sounds hard, right? Actually barely harder than Johnny, I struggled to pick a place for them. Because you only have to beat Black Elephant and can completely ignore the octopus. If you can speed biltz him, he can go down like a punk.

9. Barbara

This statuesque villainess is unique because she chases you for beating Johnny, and is not your target. And she is a badass. She can be considered a mirror boss that has strong combos, a charged attack, a running attack with good priority, a grab that looks like she is going to kiss you, and surround herself with strong thunderbolts. She also is very fast, so you should be careful, can surround herself with jellyfish (which shoot you, can gather to explode or ram you) and has the Bike Gals as a distraction (though they can help with your score. And you need a high score, you will see why... a bit late)

8. Doc and Jennifer

Let's be frank, this boss is just annoying and a pussy. They are a guide and a gorilla, and are hard to hit, but it's also not too easy to die. Just never stop moving, and remember, the real one is the one whose shadow flashes red. Because this boss uses clones, which can attack, but vanish. While you will get comboed to near-death if surrounded, and the boss can punch in a reach a bit more than yours, some flying kicks will put the boss in its place. Especially right after they land after a stomp attack.

7. Dave

The previously mentioned boss freaks out when you beat Dave, and for good reason, Dave is slightly harder. When I was a kid, he was the toughest mini boss by far, but now he is easier to deal with. He is accompanied by tough underlings, get rid of the muscleman on his side quickly. Also, he can deal good damage, and his roll attack is hard to avoid. The key here is flying kicks, and no charged or grabs or ground attacks, EVER. Because his upper half is vulnerable. Then you can juggle the bastard easily after the first flying kick. His health is a bit low, and when you can land a combo, such as right before his claw attack, beat him with no mercy.

6. Cyber Samurai

The toughest mini boss that faces you alone. The samurai is tricky, because he can block your attacks, and has some nasty counters. He also has very long range, and good damage. While there is the best healing item of the game, you will need it, as this boss will wreck you if you rush him. Just never ever stay in the same line as him and use rush attacks and grabs. Beware, as he is very fast.

5. Barbara, Asura, Sandra

And this is the hardest mini boss period. Because it's the third boss times three. While they are weaker than before, because there are no jellyfish, they can surround you and gang up on you, and the thunderbolts become harder to avoid. They are still very fast, and you have to be on your toes. Also, you have to grab all the money there for score, but doing so will result in a beating.

4. Pluto

The final boss of the regular game, he is... not the hardest, really. He is really hard to hit, as he won't stop jumping and calling minions, he spams fireballs like crazy, has a nasty spin in melee, and can dig underground. But the true threat comes from his specials, which are all the specials of the players. He can become stronger, or faster, or immune to flinching, or heal himself! But he still is nowhere near the hardest fight.

3. Octopus Mark 2

Surprise! Saturn actually is responsible for a hard fight. If Johnny and Barbara are the wake up call, this boss will be the one who kills you if you still haven't learned. It can walk and let bombs on the ground, but then it becomes harder. It has a recovery the will hit you if you are too aggressive, can jump everywhere and fire rockets, either from the sky or all over in the arena in one direction, forcing you to jump over. Also, it doesn't stop moving. Never stand still, and try to stun it as much as you can, as this boss CAN get stunned. The special move and charged attacks can stun it. Otherwise, rush and land flying kicks while it's moving, but be careful.

2. Zipang

And now we get to the bosses that are still hard to me, even after I became experienced. This is a sneaky little bastard who was running from you for two stages. And when you fight him, he initially has very low health, and is as easy as Dr. Saturn the first time, he merely has a stomp and strong minions. So, a fitting end for a coward. Right. Right?

Aaaand the second phase starts. He becomes much, much, much stronger and faster. He can combo you to death with multiple lance stabs, has a shield that blocks everything from the front, can break free from your grabs easily (and hurt you), has a nasty rush attack, his stomp attack returns (attack him from behind when he does that), can shoot fireballs in a wide arc, can throw mud from behind, summon thunderbolts, spin his spear to stop you from getting close... And this you realize why this bastard captured you so easily previously. My advice: buy the better charged attack upgrade. Especially when he spins his spear, but also in his stomp attack, it will work wonders against him. Running aerial attacks are also useful, but ground combos will 99% be blocked and you will be stunlocked unless you use your special. Which costs life. But while he is very hard, there is one guy, just one guy, who would beat the shit out of him.

1. The Master Program

The story of the game is that you and all the previous bosses fight over a disc that can control all humans. You eventually beat Pluto and see it's already online. And here high score matters, as I had mentioned long before. You can just destroy the disc if your score is too low. But if it's high, you can fight the incarnation of the disc itself, which is sapient and malevolent. Before you fight him, he oneshots Saturn with his weakest attack, before accepting the challenge of yours. He is probably the best boss in all beat em up games, one of the hardest, and his theme is suitably epic.

So, how is the incarnation of evil faring? Well, if you needed the charge attack against Octopus and Zipang once, here you need it tenfold. Because most of the time it's the one thing that can hit him, and also you have just enough time to charge it. Melee is not recommended most of the time. He has a wind attack that can push you backwards, faster than you can walk. And if you run, you still lose just enough time for him to freeze you. Speaking of ice, he has several special attacks of your heroes. The ice of Silver, the laser cannon of Blue (though this time it's fire, and it's the most damaging attack of the game, and much harder to avoid than B.O.B.'s, because it can move in one direction), the dance of Yellow times three (which of course means both stun and damage), he rides a dragon the way Pink is an ostrich with a rider, and of course he can do like her (yes, Pink can fly), and finally he has Green's tornadoes, except they go in eight directions.

Oh, and these are not all of his attacks. He has so many attacks they are hard to list, but I will try. So, while you are charging, make sure to wait until he finishes his attack to unleash your wrath, as beforehand standing in the same line as him is certain death. Most of the time, he rides an ice or a fire dragon, and while he can't block, he doesn't need to. He has super armor, which means reduced damage and no flinching at all. He can swipe at you, so move away from him, can turn into a cloud form and punch you (very hard to avoid as it's extremely fast, use the special), create an octopus mount that can spin all around the arena (and hit him before he does that, as he loses his super armor), can fire lasers, and even grab you and electrocute you as a cloud, the other form that's easy to damage. He can make fireballs rain from the sky, just stay away from the ground as they have a shockwave. When he dances, use special or stay away.

But his strongest attack comes when he has low health. The almighty cubes. They bounce everywhere, and you can't avoid them unless you spam special. They are also quite damaging, taking a third of your health. Four will land to crush you, and right after a fifth one dead in the center. There the Program is flexing, hit him for good damage once or twice.

So, he is by far the hardest and best boss in the game.
