Top 5 Poe moments in New Timeline
Poe Dameron might not be the main character in the New Timeline, however he is still very important. Below are my 5 favorite moments I gave him.
5. Inspiring the Men of Crete
Poe basically saved some Greek rebels with his bravery and skills. Then he formed them into a formidable army. And he proceeded to lead said army into victories.
4. Helping defeat the Hydra
Being the best pilot, Poe uses his ship to confront the big, mindless beasts, and sometimes not so mindless. The biggest and toughest of which was the nine-headed Hydra, strongest monster of Greece arc. Poe actually destroys some heads and keeps fighting even after being shot down. Only fourth because he had help by Toni, who was training Finn in his spare time.
3. Stalling the First Order
The biggest battle in Path of a Rebel was the Great Siege of Rome, where a (then) dangerous Silver Moblin led an army of Agents and monsters against werewolves, rebel humans, and even Finn, Rey and Rose. There was also a Knight of Ren, who was killed by the last two.
He originally had a big fleet with him, all being First Order. However, Poe Dameron and his own fleet attacked and managed to demolish the entire First Order squadron except for the Knight, who reached Earth alone. If not for Poe, the outcome would be far different in the siege.
2. Defeating Victor Checkmate
Brawn is not everything in fights. And Poe, out of his ship, has to rely mostly on brains. He also is the best chess player in the team. Checkmate, as his name suggest, is the best chess player in the world. Armilla hired him to defeat Stormwolf and he managed to defeat the clever Q first. Poe was second and even he struggled against the chess master, but used psychology and indirect teamwork to hand Checkmate his only defeat at his own game, after a duel of wits. It's actually a hard choice between this and...
1. Killing a Shadow Priest
This is in the last chapter of the Japanese arc and shows that Poe will allow nobody to abuse their power. The Priest was bullying a Yokai for liking humans and Poe had nothing of this. On foot, using just his blaster, he showed what a regular human could do when Finn grew too strong to still be one. The priest didn't get to intimidate or hurt Poe at all. Killing the high-ranking demon gave Poe an actual bounty, and bounties here are not for anyone.
